When i get my xbox at christmas i want to use xbox live but i dont have ethernet ports at the back of my router and im not splashing out £65 for a wireless adapter so could i plug my xbox ethernet wire

into this and feed it back though to my xbox
(the wire will plug into the pc ,and the xbox is close to the pc)
Your router doesn't have ethernet ports.....? What kind of router do you have?
And unless you want to go wireless and get the adaptor (which is £50 actually), then you'll have to use that method - that is if your router is near enough to the xbox - the wire will only get you so far.
But the method I need, which is half-wireless (lol), is that I use bridging cable to connect my Xbox to my laptop (which is always downstairs near to the 360), and then I set up the connection so the 360 uses the wireless internet connection that the laptop receives from the router upstairs. Also, my dad ran the wire around the edge of the room, so it's not noticeable at all - so it's half wireless!
There's no further lag than if you used the adaptor or wired connection, and it's cheap - a top quality bridging cable can be bought for £3 on Ebay (including P+P).
I might do that because i have a wireless laptop and my router is bt voyager
PS im looking on ebay and is something like this
AdapterWhat im looking for ??

Nono.
It's just a wire.
Search for ethernet crossover cable, and make sure it's made by Belkin. It should be a yellow wire.
I found it i think 5m belkin yellow cable ??

Yup.
It can be a bit complicated to set up the connection though, and having an uncommon router like yours doesn't help things.
Just letting you know you might want to know what you're doing or find someone who's good with computers to help you out.
