except (maybe its just me) that it takes forever to move around the menus. im not saying that its soo hard to press down instead of left or right, im just saying the button sensitivity isnt so good. then again, it could just be me. i use the dpad, should i use the analog or sumtin? ive only made one car, so idk. not that experienced with this thing yet.

ya. button sensitivity and default values would be the only thing i can think of changing. but great job on this.

the button sensitivity isnt to bad you are probably referring to when you want to change the value of a bar and then it takes forever just hold x and then press left or right and that solves the problem

when does v2 come out?! :rip:

emcp - October 1, 2007 12:38 PM (GMT)
FIXED*

it literary took 1 second ive changed the sensitivity in the main area where you decide what to change eg moving from suspension upper limit to suspension lower limit and picture sliders if theres anywhere else then just tell me

ANYWHERE

just waiting for my sites FTP to open its been closed for the last couple of days

emcp - October 2, 2007 07:17 PM (GMT)
sorry for the double post but....

Major Update coming soon

incl :
Speed Fix
Default Values (apart from colors as it just a waste of time)

im gonna be writing a lua script to dump all the values in a capture and the add the
offset to them all, i will try and decide how i want to load the default values i think the best way would be when your on a car you press X to load it default values if not the values stay the same

juts if someone could get a list of cars with 2 colors 1 colors or 0 colors that would be brilliant as i dont think you can detect that in captures if so weres the address
out soon

just 1 question i would need to convert them from hex to bin wouldnt i

haematite - October 2, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
u found speed? Nice one

emcp - October 2, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
speed was easy to fix i actually was stopping it from going faster as a preperation for it going to fast but it does heres how YOU CAN FIX IT

open index.lua and look for the drawpic function aand you should see the following piece of code near the top

CODE

  if pad:right() and pad:right() ~= oldpad:right() then
   Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]+1
   if Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] > table.getn(pictable) then
    Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = 1
   end
   LoadedPic[vehicleValue] = Image.load(pictable[Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]][1])
   collectgarbage()
  end
  if pad:left() and pad:left() ~= oldpad:left() then
   Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]-1
   if Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] < 1 then
    Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = table.getn(pictable)
   end

   LoadedPic[vehicleValue] = Image.load(pictable[Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]][1])
   collectgarbage()
  end

CHANGE IT TO
note : your just removing the if oldpad statement from the if statement

CODE

  if pad:right() then
   Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]+1
   if Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] > table.getn(pictable) then
    Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = 1
   end
   LoadedPic[vehicleValue] = Image.load(pictable[Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]][1])
   collectgarbage()
  end
  if pad:left() then
   Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]-1
   if Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] < 1 then
    Vehicle[vehicleValue][1] = table.getn(pictable)
   end

   LoadedPic[vehicleValue] = Image.load(pictable[Vehicle[vehicleValue][1]][1])
   collectgarbage()
  end

then search for

if Vehicle[curValue].max ~= nil and Help == false then

and you should see

CODE

   if pad:right() and pad:right() ~= oldpad:right() and pad:cross() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val+(((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)*10)
   elseif pad:right() and pad:right() ~= oldpad:right() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val+((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)
   end

   if pad:left() and pad:left() ~= oldpad:left() and pad:cross() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val-(((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)*10)
   elseif pad:left() and pad:left() ~= oldpad:left() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val-((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)
   end

CHANGE IT TO
note : your just removing the if oldpad statement from the if statement

CODE

   if pad:right() and pad:cross() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val+(((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)*10)
   elseif pad:right() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val+((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)
   end

   if pad:left() and pad:cross() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val-(((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)*10)
   elseif pad:left() then
    Vehicle[curValue].val = Vehicle[curValue].val-((Vehicle[curValue].max-Vehicle[curValue].min)/100)
   end

Great work!

My suggestions are -

- Make it more similar to PMGP, as in use number values instead of percentages.
- Make the sliders move faster (progressively would be nice ^_^ ), colours take forever :P.
- A pimpin' soundtrack :P. j/k

Apart from that it's brilliant!

Apart from that it's brilliant!

the reason why i used percentages are because ive used functions so others can make there own pages

ill be releasing a simple installer packager so its really easy to make your own page
although i can easily change this if others want it changed and it will probably make it easier for me later

the progression bar speed can be fix by holding Cross and then left or right (it will increase it by 10 instead of 1 percent)

soundtrack i never really bothered with for several reasons

* My psp is always muted so i thought others wouldnt mind
* It will more than likely crash the psp because lua with pictures and sound doesnt work well because im loading alot of full size image a over 80 smaller ones and loading a sound would be difficult (my original plan was on startup it will play sounds eg emcp screen the car door will close the freestyle screen the car will rev up and the vettes scree the car will speed away) if i don do intro sounds the main theme SHOULD be alright but my target for now is default values and a cfg importer fo SA and VC cars

and thanks also just to let people know after the project zambia screen you can press Cross to skip the others

and Square will bring up a help/description screen

this was all in the documentation

creepers - October 15, 2007 08:20 AM (GMT)
i agree at j0lt,the number values are 75% better.
when i put 1 % on the ride height limit,the number was .99.
while the highest needs to be .1

thats has nothing to do with the display of it thats can all be fixed and will be

that has to do with min and max if you look at the file

in the table Vehicle so should see

{max = 1, min = 0.01, val = 0.5},

something like change it to what you want (i never had the cfg file from vc so i had to guess pretty much and beta testers wouldnt tell me what to change it to, and vette hadnt found them out either)

now i can make it display the number up make it go up in a percentage or i can make it go up by whatever

HENCE WHY I NEED TESTERS TO TELL ME, WHAT SHOULD B CHANGED BUT THE ONLY PERSON WHO ACTUALLY DID WAS DDM
