Title: Good Idea or Not?

Snake Bite - September 20, 2007 10:55 AM (GMT)
Basically, I heard recently that Liar was playable on the PSP via remote play but that it was hampered by the fact that lair is dependent on the SIXAXIS Tilt function, and so it was not possible to get past the first level. It was shown as more of a proof of concept (Link), But since then I have seen and had a few good Ideas.
Also since yesterday, Sony announced that the PSP would be able to play PS3 games over remote play (at some point in the future) and this got me worried that they may make the controls more awkward because of the lack of Tilt. Link

Enter Neo's New Peripheral for the PSP, A Tilt Sensor. Unfortunately as of yet, it doesn’t work with any PSP games and is being aimed more at the homebrew community, But I was thinking, what if Sony was to make some coding for it in the Same update that this new remote play functionality is going to be released in (whenever that is). It would enable tilt function on the PSP and avoid any problems with the controls of the PS3 games.

Do you think this is a good Idea or not?
Also do you think I should link this to Sony :P

i had the idea of a tilt control since day one (but i dindt have a clue how it would be possible for me)

what i think sony should do is make a compermise with the homebrew community and allow some homebrew like tools eg cheatdevice (its not hurting them but making it better having it homebrew is making it more appealing to downgarde)

anyway sony should make psp and ps3 interact as it would be USELESS what the ps2 is like 500x more powerful than the psp imagine the ps3 also the current homemade tilt will work but they would need to get it into mass production if something can be done in homebrew it can be done for any retail game (as long as sony allows it) it just a matter of inputting some new functions

and i think sony should wait a while bring out a new psp with 2 anaglogues (that is the number 1 thing i hate about it although call of duty as worked well with it)

the psp is dead homebrew isnt but its becoming

Oh, Nice! That looks so cool. If only could have made the tilt function in the first place...

Sony wont work with it unless they make their own version. I dont think their legaly allowed to make games for it. They need to release their own peripheral.

i know that but im just saying the dont need to go into great detail theyll pretty much copy it give it a different shell slap the logo onto and some instruction and change something very small to it like a switch (and seeing its not patented they can take it on him as it is)

How do you know its not patented?

Any smart person, would patent anything they get working immediately.

If they dont, they lose the oppertunity to extort sony for money.

well i dont know for sure but it takes money and time (quite a long time)

and it doesnt mention it point is sony will chang eit slightly and get away with it
