Title: No More Bricks!
Durka Durka Mahn - August 23, 2007 03:21 AM (GMT)
The Noobz team has done it again! They have created a PSP-unbricker than will allow you to unbrick any psp using your BATTERY! How this works I'm not exactly sure, but it can also be used to downgrade ANY PSP from ANY FIRMWARE without the use of a UMD. All you need is two batteries, a memorystick and a PSP you want to do this to.

wow, I guess this closes the debate on whether the unbricking battery is real.
I'm just amazed at how n00bz managed to write a program that reprograms the battery itself, into one of them.
that's incredible.

Yea, it truly is amazing..Blew my mind first time I read it. Just don't understand how they can run code from the battery.

well, the psp was originally designed to run code from the battery as "back-up" to unbricking them.
but how n00bz managed to not only got this special code, but found a way to write it is amazing. I would of never thought the battery itself can actually be written to from the battery location. without any sort of mods.
edit: lol, look at qj's article.
since this is an unbricker they can't use there regular "be careful flash programs can brick your psp..." etc...etc... so they threw this one in "Failure to do so will cause degrees of risk to your PSP."
degrees of risk.
lmao.

So C+D actually were built up of all those well known devs, eh. That was sneaky.
Also this is pretty darn amazing.

when C+D first came out I thought they had to be something else. they did too much in too short if a time.
I still can't get over this battery hack though. I really am amazed beyond belief at it. it's by far the greatest feat in homebrew.
