I decided to move my plns on purchasing a 360 up. I was oging to wait until fall, but after reading about forza 2 and the amount of customazition you can do I gotta get this game.

I'm wondering who has it.
I want to know how this car graphic designing thing works. it's the main reason I want the game. is it completely 360 based? and is it easy to get get used to. (not is it easy to creat a good graphic, just are the controls for creatgin the graphic good)

I read that you use different shapes to form the graphic. it sound real interesting.

Doesnt Need For Speed Carbon, already have that feature?

And btw, PS3 are getting GT5, which is bound to be better.

I really want that game, but it's among the tons of awesome games on 360, and I ain't a millionaire so I can't buy em all.

I've just got my 360, so buying a Forza right now isn't really worth it, since I'm so occupied with my 3 games I have already.
And yeah, the customisation is awesome. I played it round my mate's house and it's SOO sick.
You cna make your own paintjobs and import your own pictures and images from your computer to your 360 and put them onto your car.
My mate made me some sick Arsenal Porsche 911 Turbo :D

But as I said, too many games too handle...and my parents probably won't let me buy ANOTHER game straight away.
I suggest you hold out for PGR4 coming later this year. That game looks totally awesome, and it'l blow away all the racing games this year.

from what I saw in forza you can customize pretty much everything, and create your own graphic completely from scratch.

and the performance modifications seem endless aswell.

I don't live in the UK. I live in the US, but I can get some good deals on 360's.
I can get a used core one at game stores for about $250.
and I can get a premium console on ebay for about $300.

I'm going to try to get one with games on ebay. I can spend like $500 and get a premium console with extra controllers and a ton of games pretty cheap.
I'm also looking to get crackdown.

probably buy it all in the next couple weeks.

Seriously, get Gears, it's so fucking awesome.
Call of Duty is pretty good too, and my mate says it's totally kickass online.

And yeah, Carbon doesn't have customization anything like Forza.

you can customize everything about the cars.

it's the exact racing game I've been wanting.

NFS has done the visual customizations good, and GT always did the performance customizations good but no game has done them both. Forza seems to me like it's the ultimate racing game.

I'll set up all of the online stuff as soon as I get a 360. I just have ot figure it all out. It doesn't look that hard. just a matter of getting a good router, and running a line to the console. right?

What I've done is got an ethernet crossover cable to connect my 360 and laptop together.
Not only does this benefit to transfering music, video and images back and forth, it also means the 360 can feed the internet from the laptop.
As long as you got a router and a wireless card for your laptop, you can get internet easily, without wireing it up downstairs to upstairs through every wall in the house.

But if your 360 is near your router/modem, then you can just use the ethernet cable that comes with the Premium pack to hook your 360 straight to your modem/router.

the 360 will be less then 10 feet from my modem. and only one wall in the way (although I can easily go around the wall)

there's still a few weeks before I have to worry about setting it all up though.

Well I heard that hooking it straight to the modem offers the best possible connection, so if you can, I suggest doing it.

connecintg it straight to the modem would mean I can't use the internet on my PC at the same time.

But my modem also goes to my phone line aswell. we get both our cable, internet, and phone service from the cable company. so I'd have to connect a router, and then route it to the modem. it's gonna be a mess at first until it's all sorted. I just need to get forza. If only I didn't have to pay 1500 for my cars new motor :angry:

I was in HMV in oxford street today, Playing Fight Night Round 3 on the 360. Beat everyone who played me. Its a pretty awesome game (i owned the psp and ps2 versions).
Anyway, someone next to me was playing forza 2, i was shocked. It didnt look good. Maybe it was the camera angle he had it set on, but it just looked like Fast And Furious on the psp..

Best connection is plugging it to modem or router.

When I went to Game today to trade in a few PS2 games for a play and charge kit, they had that Forza video playing on a TV in the ceiling, and as soon as my brother saw it, the first thing he said was "Shit, that's some SICK game".
After, he couldn't stop joking about him buying it and not letting me play it, blah blah.

Not sure if he was telling the truth, but I ain't buying it...bought too much for one month...besides, I'm way too occupied with my current three games.
But if he does decide to get it, I guess I'll be leaving you to follow my tyre treads online pretty soon :P

Just watched him play, cos of course he wouldn't let me play while he is. Looks awesome, and the graphics are damn amazing. Haven't seen any customisation yet, cos he "don't have enough money", according to him. Just saw him crashing around the track in his car.

I saw a picture of a Ferrari Enzo with a bodykit even, so looks like the visual customisation just won't be limited to the crappy japanese tuners like most games.

From what i've heard and seen, this looks amazing.

I just hope Polophony follow suit with GT5. I really want car customisation.

What i dont get is this, why dont the makers of Forza port it to PS3?

They'd be selling so much more and would completely annihilate GT if they did so..

Just played two player split-screen with my brother...and fucking hell it was jokes.
Smashing eachothers cars to bits has never been more satisfying...Especially when you get the very precise shot in the corner back of his Ferrari F360 thus knocking it's bumper off, shattering his lights, and leaving only one spring left on the wheel and his engine struggling to rev...ah...what joy that was.
Oh, and after having a short look at the modifications section in the game...well I was actually lost. So much customization options...and that was only the technical customization - couldn't find the visual customization in split-screen.

Oh, and it's an exclusive game to 360, just like GT5 is an exclusive for PS3.

Oh, and you don;t know how wrong you are. Check Bungie forums, hundreds of people there are only getting a 360 just for Halo 3, and hundreds don't even have it yet.

Sorry, but once GTAIV and Halo 3 ship, Xbox 360 sales will sky rocket off the chart.

Yeah, just when you think 360 has tons of awesome games out right now (and it sure does...), you haven't seen anything yet. It just gets better.

I mean, Bioshock, Halo 3, GTAIV, PGR4, The Darkness, Crysis...those are just a few I've seen that I really want off the top of my head...the list just goes on.
The games are just gonna get even more kickass, and consoles are just going to sell faster and faster as this year (and next) progresses.
Then the endless possible awesome games unannounced - games like GoW2, a rumoured "new story arc" Halo FPS, Forza 3, PGR5....arg, I'm writing too much, and I want to get back to my 360.

God Of War 3. Guarenteed to be the best Adventure game thats been made up to now. Even beating Legendary games like Zelda.
Metal Gear Solid 4. This game will change gaming as we know it. And guess what? PS3 exclusive!
GT5. Haha, this games sure to make Forza look like Pocket Racers.

Oh but yeah. You dont like these kind of mature games. I guess the 360 is perfect for your 12 year old gaming taste.

you do know IV is being devoloped primarily on the 360 right? all screens, videos, and previews have been of the 360 beta.
the ps3 and 360 versions will be identical with the exception of the downloadable content.

Multiplatform games are being developed on the 360 as a neutral system. they're getting more games. and better games.
it has the power to do what publishers want, and it's easy to program for.

And just to add to the GT5 thing, well GT is dead, especially amongst games like PGR and Forza.
Forza is everything GT5 has, and much more.
Does it have cosmetic damage? No.
Does it have simulation damage? No.
Does it have virtually unlimited customization? No.
Does it have visual modifications? No.
Does it have a decal/paintjob system anything like Forza? No.

Sorry, but GT5 is dead, and people are well bored of racing around in a circle in the same boring cars. Forza adds depth to the game, and brings back the fun of going head to head with your mates on your favourite track, with your favourite cars - each personalised to suit your personality and make it "yours".

As for GTAIV, well lets not get that started again. All I can say is that Vette is 100% right, and both games will be identical.


Every "exciting" game Sony throws out onto PS3, 360 has the game to beat it.

New PS3 exclusive FPS? We got Halo 3.

These seem to the three most popular genres at the moment amongst PS3 and 360, and as you can see above, Microsoft has it all maxed out just for us.

Have fun meeting pedos in your "Home" feature, rather than actually playing games - although I don't blame you for looking for something else to do than play PS3 games.


And about that claimed Forza 2 issue, I haven't seen any complaints about crashes, and I've been on quite a few websites looking at designs, etc - ones with tons of owners, and not one complaint I've seen.
Also, yesterday I played for 1 and a half hours and I didn't experience any problems.

So you still are stupid enough to argue. Do you understand the Playstation 3 is alot more powerful then 360? Do you understand how easily it will be able to render IV?
The game will make 360 struggle, probably causing major over heats and laser's messing up.
Who cares if it was developed for 360?! They only did that because the console was easier to get hold of. Read some articles from devs. They'll all tell you their more satisfied deving for PS3 then 360. As the possibilities are endless.

Games like GoW are good, but thats were it ends for 360. Thats the best you get.

I've played forza. The graphics are good, but not amazing. Play GTHD. It was dev'ed in Polyphony's spare time. As they weren't charging for it. Each and every car there puts Forza's ones to shame.
So its not perfect, it also doesnt have the realism as GT. GT is still the Racing Simulator.

About the cars, heres the story; the game will already have loads of cars. I mean hundreds (more then GT4). But to get extra cars, you have to pay more.
Same way with GTAIV. For you guys to get extra content, you have to pay for it.
