i know how to make a website in dreamweaver but can someon tell me how to put it on the internet?

Buy or find someone to host it and then buy a domain.

does it always cost? or can i find one for free?

There are plenty of free hosts. You won't be able to get a top level domain name for free though (ex. google.com). However this site allows you to register a free yoursite.co.nr domain.

For the hosting which one to choose depends very on what features you need.
If you need php I'd recommend http://www.100webhosting.com. It has an ad at the top but you get amongst other things mySQL. Google around if you're having a plain html site and don't want an ad.

and

www.awardspace.com (but i think it needs a proper DNS domain not a redirecting one / but if not then please tell me how u got it working)

also if its just plain html then freewebs.com is quite good if you choose html because LOL it doesnt force ads (allow it asks you to put a freewebs ad at the bottom but u dont have to as i havnt got caught yet)

I use freewebs with no issue's but I'm getting a Domain soon it's time sese

also the best thing about freewebs is i use it for hosting psp file for my psp games im working on

and they never check your account unless theres a report

the big big bummer but is that it doesnt do php asp or anything also if you code in asp try going to the offical office.microsoft site i was looking at it and it looks to give free hosting but whether theres a catch i dont know but i dont think so

well i am making a site in dreamweaver and i wanted a site that would allow me to make one like www.mysite.com or .net or w/e... wut im trying to say is i dont want one like www.freewebs.com/mysite is that possible? without paying?

yes by using freewebs or whatever (to host your site) then get a .co.nr domain which when you type

ursite.co.nr it will bring you to freewebs.com/ursite

and it will hide the proper address for you

ok and how much memory does that one .co.nr allow? and would i have to do that to get it to work or could i just get the .co.nr and make it that? like my site.co.nr

it's just a re-directer. you need to get a different host.

get freewebs (choose html not template) when youve registered

get .co.nr (the target url is the one you use to get to your site on freewebs e.g. http://www.freewebs.com/yoursite/)

then when you go to yoursite.co.nr it will bring you to http://www.freewebs.com/yoursite/

so kinda like on this site i go to cheatsync.net/forum and it takes me to and it takes me to z10.invisionfree somthing so is this a subdomain of cheatsync.net? and on freewebs do i just upload all my stuff i made in dreamweaver? and i have to say dreamweaver is one of the easiest programs ive ever learned ^_^
but WOW i just made a test site at freewebs and i cant figure out how to put the html on it nvm i got it :D so can i register multiple accounts with freewebs and co.nr?

20 with .co.nr withe the same name i have multiple accounts on freewebs and i think i used my real name so yeah but when you hit 20 make a new account with .co.nr and use someone in your family's name or something

ok i got my site up and running but its only a test site so i can learn and get the feel to html my site
