Title: Just got RAM

I've noticed my computer has been running really slow and crashing alot when I use bigger programs, so I got another 1 GB of RAM... But when I opened up my computer, I noticed there were FOUR ports for RAM cards! (Most PC's only have 2) so I now have 1.5 GB of RAM! WEWT! I GOT RAMZ!

Yea,I have a gig, but only two ports. So the max I can have is 2 gigs.

you got lucky :P
usually a computer won't accept two different amounts of ram cards. so they all have to be the same size, or onlyt one. i.e. you can't have a 256, and a 512 ram cards at the same time, but having two 512 cardswill work.
yours is a rare case.
my computer has four slots aswell, and I think I'll be updating the ram soon.
maybe I'll do it today before I go to work :D .

400 MHZ clock speed, is low. You should have got the 800 MHZ pack. Or do you plan to over clock these?

His motherboard doesn't support DDR2 I would assume. Well, my motherboard supports 16GB's of DDR2 - (800Mhz) and dual channel.. Now, that would make you horny ;)

His motherboard doesn't support DDR2 I would assume. Well, my motherboard supports 16GB's of DDR2 - (800Mhz) and dual channel.. Now, that would make you horny ;)

i got realy mad the other day my I.T teacher was asking me what each component of a pc is i got them all right apart from RAM i said RAM he said NO memory i got so Pi$$ed memory and ram same bloody thing

I see, damn 16 gigs! lol you should put 16 gigs in there at 1000 MHz. NOW that would be all some. You know some company just come out with a 1 gig sticks at 10,000 MHz!
