DoteStudios - January 23, 2007 04:33 AM (GMT)
If you guys don't know how to make skins I am offering to make you whatever you suggest for you under these conditions:

1) You send me your email
2) You give me credit for whatever I make

P.S. If you want car skins it may take a while. Clothes are very easy to make for me so at least 3 or 4 a day are ok. Below are pictures of what I have made:

Well here is how to install skins and make them:

Make a Face for CJ:
1) Start off with the basic hairstyle. To get these from the game you must get the program TXD Workshop
2) Extract and open TXD workshop then click on Open IMG.
3) Go into your GTA San Andreas folder and click on models then open player.img
4) Now you will see files that end with .dff (models for the player) and .txd (skins for the player).
5) Skip the DFF files and go to the TXDs, You will tons of them, each are mapped on to the DFF models.
6) Now click on whichever skin you want to edit, ex: bald.txd, baldtash.txd, afro.txd, etc.
7) Once you clicked on which skin/face of CJ's you want to edit you will see an image show up to the right of CJ's head stretched out (this is because it is mapped around his entire head). Now click on where it says Export and send it to a picture editing program like Photoshop. Export it as a BMP when the list appears.
8) Open the program you will edit it with and open the file.
9) When the file is opened it should look like this:
Bald

10) Now to edit it, take a picture of the person or thing you want to put over CJ's face on a different layer (from google or something you have and move it over the original image) (above).

NEXT STEPS ARE FOR PROGRAMS WITH (smudge tool, crop tool, paint bucket, paintbrush, magic wand, opacity changer, and stamp tool)!!!
11) If you are making a white skin tell me or PM me. First erase everything behind the head even the hair (but keep a backup when the hair is needed). Now to make things easier you have to lower the opacity (make the image transparent) and move the face over to the right side of the image making it so that only half of the face is shown (this is because the game mirrors it around the face).
12) When the image has been cropped down to size that the eyes, mouth, nose, eyebrows, etc. start to smudge the left side of the head over to the left of the image.
13) When the whole head is covered in the characters main skin color start to shade with a darker/lighter color on the scale or use the burn/dodge tool.
14) Smudge the colors with the face so that both of the lights and darks on the both skins overlap in correct positions
15) When that is done put the original CJ layer above the one you are working on. Use the Marquee tool (dotted line box image) to cut out the exact rectangles of the eye and teeth. Now paste them on their own layer (still in their original locations but on different layers). MAKE SHURE YOU STILL HAVE THE EAR (If your character doesn't have an ear you must delete that with ZModeler.
16) once everything is shaded, smudged, aligned, and placed on a different layer delete or place behind (helps if the smudge was too light) the new skin.
17) Next Merge Down all of the layers (make a back up of the file with different layers to edit it if needed) with the eye and teeth at the top, then the new skin and if you need it the original skin. NOW SAVE!!!

Import Your Creation:
1) Re open TXD Workshop (if closed) and go back to the image you started with.
2) Click on the original image and click on Import.
3) Import the new skin and click on Save TXD.
4) Close the program and start GTA SA or VC or GTA 3.

Get Your Skin:
Now for whatever haircut you replaced you must get it from the barber that has it. If you don't where it is click the link below:
Barber Locations and Haircuts Available

Problems:
1) You may have installed it wrong or skipped a step.
2) If you put on a hat you need to replace player_face in TXD Workshop with your skin.

3d models? All you have to do is download IMGtool and export dff files. You need ZModeler (50 American dollars) to edit them.

I have 3Ds Max, and I want to make my own models, that's the thing.
