OVERVIEW

The PSP Installer is a very simple app that will copy files and folders onto a user's PSP. Simply place the data you want to be copied to the PSP into the MS_ROOT folder and distribute with the Install.exe.

The program will automatically detect the PSP (when connected) so all the user will need to do is click the Install button.

The background image that appears on the installer is simply a file called pic.jpg which you can customize to whatever you like.

If you include a Readme.txt file in the same folder as the Install.exe program it will be displayed when the install is complete.

This is a very simple addition that can only copy files and folders. The next release will be able to edit text files on the PSP and a lot more. I thought I'd release it anyway.

uhh, its nice..

But i really dont understand what it does, copy folders onto your psp?

Since when was someone to lazy to do that but had enough effort to configure your .exe?

It's for people who make homebrew... They put their apps in the MS_ROOT folder and then distribute the whole lot... The users who download their apps (remember how may n00bs get confused where to copy things) just have to run the Install.exe and it will do it all for them...

A very simple app but I did it for rel8 and thought other devs might want to use it instead of having to give their users manual instructions...

Very nice :P

Thats pretty cool. It will help alot of people are you just having it be able to be downloaded via here or pspupdates/psphacks etc. ?

I would think it will be much more useful if the noobs found it at like pspupdates speaking they are not going to go on a forum to find a help (program) mabe help but not the program wel...exe....

emcp - January 17, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
so does it allow devs to place there homebrew into mp_root then they configure the exe so it will install the folders in the right place if so
it is pretty good
so it would be like a universal installer
wat would be really good in the next release is to do like what ifs like when u the n00b installs it and then like runs the homebrew and when he plugs the usb back in again it wil copy the generated file into another for like custom firmware
