What's the time frame of a naval application? Does it take a weekly action? If I'm accepted, can I go to the front in the same month?

It's a pre-monthly action, and if you succeed in getting on a ship that's at sea, you are immediately put aboard a supply ship and sent out to the fleet, without spending any weeks in London.

If it is an NPC captain, then you need to put it in the applications database on the Yahoo Group - your application is assessed by a dice roll that can be influenced by players expending favours.

If it is a player captain, you need to ask them directly (you can send them a personal e-mail). to be appointed you will need to put it in your orders (or the appointments database) that you are applying, but the captain must also write it in their orders that they are accepting you.
