Perusing the new rules I see that we now have a Revenue Cutter listed but no other details (that I could see). Is this the mysterious HMS Seahorse? If so can one volunteer to sail on her as she is not listed for deployment? Also what is her crew status etc. :capt:
I have no idea what the seahorse is...or what a revenue cutter is...so I will have to pass at the moment until I get a chance to read the rules...and then make something up...

Does anyone have any ideas?
Do we want another blockade ship or is there something in the rules?
cheers

I don't know if Andy had some idea for this but having given it some thought here is suggestion.
The Revenue cutter is at sea the same as the blockade squadron but works independantly.
It is a lieutenant's command appointed by the Port Admiral the other officers are a midshipman and/or master's mate.
There are no marines on board.
Because of the nature of its work and the size of the vessel the commander needs a NA of 5 or greater and SL req/ pay etc are as for the Halcyon.
It is always on independant action and combat results are derived from this.
Results are as per East india Co and Revenue Cutter chart.
According to the rules it has a better chance vs death but no promotion and reduced plunder.
Obviously until it is settled anyone can amend, disagree etc.
