 The Canopy
Forum Topics Replies Last Post Info
West Canopy
The Downriver canopy. This area is the last to flood, but it's also the first to bloom during the summers. Fruits and berries grow here, making insects thick. The branches are too thin to hold anything heavier than a large bird.

North Canopy
The North Canopy rarely floods like the rest of the canopies. It is ideal for flowers and seeds and the sun hits it most during the day. The branches of this canopy are thick and can hold a small mammal if the need arises.

East Canopy
The East Canopy is always the first to flood. It is covered in dense clouds as it sits a little higher than the rest of the forest. The flowers get large and the fruits get over-ripe very easily. The branches can a small mammal if the need arises, but are very easily bent.

 The Understory
Forum Topics Replies Last Post Info
West Understory
The West Understory is usually half-covered in water. The thick branches and leaves provide easy cover for predators, and there is brighter sunlight in this understory than in the other two. The branches are thick enough to hold virtually any animal that might want to sit on them.

North Understory
The North Understory is rarely ever flooded to any extent There is a lot of light here, shaded by thinner, but longer branches than the West Understory. During flooding season, this is a nice place to look down into the foot deep water rushing towards the river. Main living quarters of Los Comedores de Carne (The Eaters of Flesh) An Evil Clan of Felines.

East Understory
The East Understory is usually a bit dry, but during rains, water drips heavily from the tall canopy. It's darker than the other understories and a bit colder and damper. The branches here are thick and long and are hard to maneuver through.

 The Forest Floor
Forum Topics Replies Last Post Info
West Forest Floor
The West Forest Floor is almost always completely covered in water. Lots of water-dwellers and very little light from the sun hits this place. The murky brown water is usually avoided by anything that doesn't swim extremely well. Don't want to get eaten by piranhas, now do we?

North Forest Floor
The North Forest Floor is always damp and if it ever gets standing water, it's usually only ankle deep to the big animals. A bit of sunlight leaks through the leaves and trees and the thick roots make good hiding places for herbivores and predators alike. Hunting grounds for Los Comedores de Carne.

East Forest Floor
The East Forest Floor is usually pretty wet and bogged down. It's the ideal place for big reptiles because there are places where a lot of sun shines through. Quicksand and crocodiles make this a very dangerous place to go.
