Title: Episode 12 Thoughts

Rider Jetfire - May 25, 2008 04:59 PM (GMT)
Being a hero ain't easy kids.

-Pete has quite an eccentric collection of outfits doesn't he? What's this one, jogger outfit?

-Glad to see their still keeping up with the story line of Mark's slipping grades. Most shows would only deal with it for one episode.

-ANVIL'S BACK!!!!!!

-"Can't find your lucky Ace?" Great line Lord Fear

-"Perhaps you'd like to be the Ace up my sleeve." Hmmm... Maybe this is showing how Mark is afraid that Lord Fear might try using him to get to Ace.

-3 C's, a D, and an F? Dang, Mark's school gives out F's?? Mine only goes down to E! And I wonder which classes Mark isn't doing so hot in, and which one's he still managing to pull high grades in.

-"A D in English,he is english!" Way to go Dad.

-So nobody noticed the amulet in there until now?? Kind of hard to believe... You think Rat would have sniffed it out by now.

-Guess Anvil got powered up when he was away fro the past few episodes.

-It's pretty sunny out there, what time of year does this episode take place during?

-So I guess for every piece of the amulet found, one character can be taken out of the sixth dimension? So the pieces of the amulet can't be used multiple times for that?

-"I'm grounded." "Whoa kid back off, you'll drain my power." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Nice one.

-So, Ace has never been grounded before? Was Ace ever a kid, or did he just sort of, come into being?

-Okay, those computers kind of date the series. Nowadays monitors are much thinner.

-Dang, Mark was a bit of a jerk to that teacher. "The fate of the world depends on it." Was he just trying to be a jerk, or did he just let the truth slip out?

-The Ace Lightning fandom seems to be pretty huge, apparently since their are local fan clubs.

-The picture of Ace Lightning on the website is the exact same picture used on a lot of promotional material of the series.

-The cafteria looks like it has a brand new color scheme!

-OH MY GOSH!!!! PEPSI PRODUCT PLACEMENT!!!!! And apparently Samantha likes Diet Pepsi.

-"Have you ever had one of those days, every day of your life?" Seems the stress is really getting to Mark.

-"We'll walk home together, the two of us." Any they called it, young love!! :D

- I find it hard to believe Samantha didn't hear Staff's voice since she was standing right next to the locker.

- MR. CHESBORUOUGH IS BACK!!!!!! Gotta love that guy.

-"This is Ace Lightning from the sixth dimension. I'm a superhero." Fantastic line!

-How far can Lord Fear stretch????

-PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The reveal that is was Mr. Chesborugh's car Ace landed on earlier was brilliant!

-"That was a brand new brief case... four years ago..." :P

-      Mark riding away because of the Ice Cream truck after Samantha sees him is priceless *falls over laughing*

-THEY CAPTURED MARK!!!! HOLY CRAP!!!

-Mark's dream playing out in reality is pretty cool.

-"He might get a real crush on you." THAT'S A KNEE SLAPPER!!!!!!!!!!

-Oh man, epic time is approaching!!! And Mark got a stuffed animal when he got the amulet to. Sweet.

-Sparx's intro is freakin epic.

-Dang, mark just up and leaves. His exit speech really hits an emotional cord. The past few episodes really built up to this. Way to go Ace Lightning.

-Dang man, Mark really has lost everything becoming a hero. This show really shows being a hero isn't easy.

You know I gotta wonder how the amulet pieces got to where they are. When they broke apart in the first episode, did they just fly into random places, passing through solid objects to do it?

And hey, Chuck wasn't that annoying this episode. Way to go buddy.

"He's a Lightning Knight? Isn't he kinda scrawny?"

Sparx. :P

If the pieces of the amulet could be reused, then you'd only need two pieces for Absolute Power. Rules for powerful magical artefacts have to be stricter than that.

I used to be a kid, and I've never been "grounded" 'cause I'm not American. Probably Ace has been grounded in the electrical meaning of the term and occasionally forbidden from attending social events.

Teachers probably hear a lot of stuff like that. "The fate of the world depends on it!" Ah, teen melodrama.

Maybe she thought he had a GameBoy or something in there, or a new ring tone.

'Course they did! I guess they even just rematerialize at different times, which would explain why the evils don't just give the Carnival one good search with the Rat's sense of smell and have done with it.

I liked the brief interplay of facial expressions on Ace when Mark mentions his "girlfriend", and the way you see Ace struggling to pick up the amulet pieces with his bigger hands. And yay for Sparx! You'll have to tell us your thoughts on her after you know her better, Rider. ^^

Sparx has the best entrance in the show...except maybe after Rotgut. This episode is not really one of my favourites, well at least the first half of it anyway. I pity Mr. Cheseborough, losing his car and suitcase in five minutes.

Still, was Ace ever a kid? Cause he never really mentions his childhood.

Yeah, that makes sense that they rematerialize at different times. Perhaps when one piece is found, another one rematerializes?

I re watched that last scene where mark yells at Ace, really emotional stuff and your right, Ace's expressions are really great to look at.

Well I'll see how Sparx turns out but on first apperences, she seems a little gong ho, though she may soften up as time goes on. WE SHALL SEE!!!

Ace should have chased after Mark to try and talk to him and gave Sparx and scolding. :P

Sorry all, but my thoughts for the next episode will most likely be up later this week since school is ending this week.

Rotgut - June 3, 2008 08:33 AM (GMT)
Ah, okay. College is ending for me soon too. :P
