Well it's been two weeks since Rat, and I've started gearing myself up to do Lady Illusion. However, I got ever so slightly....distracted :lol: I'm a bit out of practise again, theres loads of mistakes :/ Fear's expressions are so hard to do! He was supposed to look surprised-happy, but he just looks totally out of it :lol: Anyway, here you go, hope you like :) Hopefully I'll get the hang of drawing Lady Illusion soon

I know LF doesn't have a tongue, but I really wouldn't like to see Lady Illusion putting her tongue down a dry throat made of dust! I'm sure she wouldn't do it either...unless forced. Maybe she'd do it with Staff Head or Pigface. :blink: :nuts:

And I'm pretty certain that any ineptness Lord Fear has in that area, he can make up 10x over in other areas. Love will find a way :wub:

I really don't see the reason why LI is in love with LF. There is one big age gap. She's about 30 odd and he is 352!!!!

She probably liked him for the evil-overlordness. :P Then again, I'm sure stretchy limbs + 300 years of experience aren't that bad. Heck, he doesn't even seem to have decaying bits falling off him like Rotgut does (sorry, Rotgut!)

I'd prefer Lord Fear above either Pigface or Staffhead. ^_^ He's at least humanoid, and Pigface's mental age probably puts him too young for any sort of meaningful consent. He has long, graceful hands?

I figure if Lord Fear waited for someone his own age he'd be lookin' for a long time. besides it's a common custom in certain tarditions for very young individuals you be "married" (or you know, whatever this situation is) to older men.

Finally, after, let's see, two or three months, I return with that something that I have created in an attempt to win you over to the side of evil me and my lonely support LI/LF side.

Lo behold; A VIDEO!
The song and the video go with my interpretation of the back-story for the show, and Lady Illusion's feelings. So the video is mostly from the POV of Lady Illusion, I hope you like it :nuts:

EDIT: Also, forgot to mention, it contains a sort of, re-visioning of the ending to series 1 :D Just to explain that particular bit :lol:

EDIT: I've also got another thing to mention: I've about a third of the way finished a Lord Fear music video - but I don't think I'll have enough footage to complete it, so I'm unsure as with what to do with it. I'm thinking of posting up the WIP on my youtube account, and having it only available to friends, so you guys can take a look, crit, or suggest clips for it, since I imagine you know probably know the episodes better than I do :) What do you think?

Wheeeeee! I love that vid. :heart: Very nicely done--congrats on finding those Fear/LI moments! I really like how you used the crystal ball footage backwards; that was a lovely effect. ^_^

I think I want to do another one between them - the slowness of that song meant it was really hard to get the clips working with it, I don't think I succeeded very much.

The ending was because, perhaps I haven't watched it as thoroughly as others, or perhaps I've been watching too thoroughly and seen what isn't there, but to me, Ace and Illusion's relationship seems to be based on basic attraction and nothing more, whilst her relationship with Fear has a whole multitude of levels. Like I said, maybe I'm making something out of nothing with their moments :lol: But to me it seemed hard to believe that she would physically allow the, almost murder of someone who'd loved her for years because she was attracted to some bloke that she hasn't really had the right amount of dialogue with to seriously make an informed decision about. It just didn't sit right with me, so I changed it :lol:

Consider me all but converted. :nuts: I think Fear/LI has a big power imbalance to it, but that helps make it interesting--and they're both much more complicated characters than, say, Ace. With whom you're right that she doesn't have enough dialogue, but still, with a history in the Sixth Dimension... I also don't think LI could've been very helpful to Fear in that last episode. She sounded to Ace like she was about to fade out herself, and all three Knights--including Random--were powered up. In the vid, though, you mirrored that first episode--with the dark night and the grass--really well with your version of the last. I hadn't realized there was that cool visual parallel there. :) I guess I 'ship both. ^^

Yes that's true, poor Lady Illusion :( I'm not convinced on that history part - considering how little attention she pays to Ace until that moment when he saves her, I'm willing to bet they haven't conversed or even properly glanced at each other before that episode.

I was messing about in Flash, I had the intention of trying to learn to animate in it, but that never happens, and I always end up just drawing in it instead.
Not really my greatest work - I do kind of like Staffhead there though, obviously trying to get in on the action :lol:

current WIP, I havent really had time to do much on it :) All of the lineart turning pink was an accident, it was only meant to be for some of Lady Illusion, but I couldn't bear to change it back because of how sickeningly sweet the colour pink turns things :nuts:
I've no idea where I'm really going with this picture :lol: It's like Lord Fear was just saying 'ladies first' or something and Illusion decided she just wanted to gaze into his eyes instead. As you may well do when in love with someone. :D

Rotgut, you were absolutely right, and if you hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have noticed :lol: I was so preoccupied with concentrating on Fear and Illusion!
