So here is my Dirty Rat thread :D
I finally got him started today in Animation class (not quite what I was supposed to be doing, but oh well :P)
Heres the couple of concept sketches I did trying to work out his proportions and how to draw him. Drawing a character that's built like a ballon is pretty hard :lol: Lady Illusion, Staffhead and Fear also snuck in there :lol:



And heres the pencil WIP of the final piece;


I also think I'll be filming the process for my animation class. If anyones interested, I could upload it onto youtube :)

I ended up having to change a bunch of it because I'd drawn it at college and from memory. It seems my memory of Dirty Rat was terrible because I'd gotten a lot of the detail wrong :lol:

Amazing art! ^^ :D I love how, in the last sketch, his beady eyes and teeth are a little more like a real rat--it looks very nice, quite villainous! 'S beautiful.

Yeah, Rat's coming out a bit more stylised I think. Heres the colour WIP so far; (complete with silly doodles :lol: )

I :heart: the doodles! Esp. Duff as Mario. :P It looks awesome coloured, beautiful indeed. :bunny:

Yeah, the plan was to do all the villains - though if I manage to keep it up and get through all the villains, I think I might like to try Sparx afterwards, I love her to pieces :lol:

I think it'll either be Lady Illusion or Anvil then, I've already started working out how to draw them on paper :)

If your doing the villains then I say go with Lady Illusion!!

Hey guys, guess who managed to get the details wrong, again :lol:
I should've checked back to This wallpaper sooner, seems I've made lots of little mistakes on Rat too :lol:
I'll make sure I dont get LI wrong!

I noticed you used a second series reference picture for the Rat, the one with Kilobyte in it too--I can't tell if the Rat changes between series, but a few details of LI's costume do. ^^ (LightningFlash also alleges that Sparx' breasts get larger.) So I guess that might be confusing for an artist... The artwork is gorgeous nonetheless. The Rat seems slightly more bestial in your art, and I think that effect really works. XD

Dirty Rat doesn't change much in the series, he just gets a scar on the side of his mouth.
