Title: Episode 4 Thoughts

Rider Jetfire - March 29, 2008 03:00 PM (GMT)
Once again, here we go!!!

-Obviously, Mark has never seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off if thats the best he can do to get off school.

-Dang, teachers will call IN THE MORNING to make sure kids have detention. Amazing.

-You think Mark could come up with a better excuse that his parents would be more likely to believe.

-Ace Lightning is pretty popular, especially since he's got hand held games. Come to think of it, what if lightning struck the hand held Ace Lightning game, would characters come out of that game to?

-I find it hard to believe no one else on the bus sees Lord Fear.

-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Lord Fear got pulled away.

-I would be kind of afraid to have that guy as my Bus Driver, since he's got headphones on while he drives.

-Once again, no one on the street sees Lord Fear eithier? Sooner or later a group may be started for people who have seen Ace Lightning characters in the real world, similar to LINDA in Doctor Who's "Love & Monsters."

-That bus chase was awesome!!!

-Why doesn't Ace just take out Lord Fear right when he crashes the Ice Cream truck?

-"Muscle Bound, MORON!!" That line is great.

-I guess Chuck needs that sort of lock since he probably can't remember a locker combination.

-Yes... We all know more was going on in that cage :P

-Really? Teachers unions will deal with characters released from the sixth dimension? I need to get a hold of that union.

-Big pension? Maybe Lady Illusion could have siphoned off some money from that pension.

-Ah, the classic mixing up of Football and Soccer, it had to happen sooner or later.

-Ace always has really good advice. Go Ace!!!!

-I thought we were partners... Taken out of context, that line is quite hilarious.

-"That kids on the team." Ace kicking that football was hilarious, and that line was priceless.

-Sucks to be the kid behind Chuck in line, seeing him get all that great food.

-A PEA IN THE BOWL!!!! At first, I thought Mark did that and I was like "**** YEAH MARK!!! YOUR A GENIUS!!!" Actually, he might have done it, they just don't make it clear.

-Ace in that janitors outfit is hilarious.

-Do you really think a teacher would let someone play video games in detention.

-The song playing in this scene is really good, and the two of them staring at each other like that is awesome.

-Ugggh, I was just starting to find Chuck not annoying, now he's starting to be annoying again.

-They're drinking PINK LEMONADE!!!! Oh yeah, thats love right there.

-Facing your fears, Another message from Ace Lightning.

One of my friends thought the exact same thing as you about Mark's playing sick, and gave a great list of helpful tips.

FAKE BEING SICK BETTER, IDIOT! Hot shower before hand, or just hot water on the face, scrub your head with your hand before you parent's come in, and rub your tongue against the thermometer, friction creates heat, dummy! Spit on the forehead makes a nice, aprop. tacky feeling sweat if you can do it right. GET UP EARLY AND PUT YOUR HEAD UNDER THE COVERS TO RAISE YOUR CORE BODY TEMPATURE BEFORE YOUR PARENTS COME TO CHECK ON YOU!

What if lightning struck the hand held Ace Lightning game, would characters come out of that game to?

Good question! :) (nobody try to spoil Rider, people!)

Headphones on while you drive is legal as far as I know; driving's more about looking than hearing. Mobile phones usually aren't, though.

Chuck probably built that lock himself. :P

Maybe Lady Illusion could have siphoned off some money from that pension.

Petty theft? Bit low for a supervillain. Although I suppose she must have spied on the school and read his textbooks (as the fanwanking explanation for why Mr Cheseborough's actor pretty much acts like a crazier version of himself rather than as Lady Illusion pretending to be a teacher :P ). What would she buy with human money? (Though as that scraggy-looking Carnival guy, she's actually seen putting money in his pocket.)

Do you really think a teacher would let someone play video games in detention.

Do you really think Lady Illusion cares about what some random mortal kid does in detention? :P

The fight scene in this episode was way too short, I think. Not one of LI's more formidable showings, but I guess it was a power drain to hold a morph all day.

Scarab's written some fic on the "playmates" line in the fight after I mentioned how odd it was that Ace said "Still wanna brag about your power, playmate" when Lady Illusion hadn't bragged. (They're prequel fics, so not very spoilery, but you might not want to look at them until after you've seen episode six if you want to avoid all possible spoilers.)

Face your fears. :) It's a slightly Broken Aesop, because Mark's detention was more Wayne's and Cheseborough/LI's fault rather than a punishment he deserved (he only insulted Wayne in response to him picking on Chuck, and tried to stop Chuck from biting him), but it's pretty brave of Mark to walk in there, and to help Chuck. And, of course, there's the usual friendship moral between Mark and Ace.

What would she buy with human money?
I guess she could use the money to maintain the Carnival of Doom. As we've seen, the place doesn't really rake in the dough or anything.

Petty theft? Bit low for a supervillain.
How is that low? That takes freakin skill to take money out of a pension, I don't think it's the easiest thing to do in the world. Don't you need to retire to start getting that money? Cause if you do, Lady Illusion could have had her work cut out for her in that situation.

And you know, now that I think about it, with Lady Illusion on hand, you can do just about any Slash fanfiction you can think of (Cause apparently she's a really good actor.) Jeez, when you put your mind to it, you can Slash anybody together. Another Message from the Ace Lightning Fandom.

Well...there's no slash fiction I can think of including Lady Illusion, but Sarah apparently wrote a very adult fic between LF and LI. I haven't read it myself. :P

when you put your mind to it, you can Slash anybody together

That's a message from any fandom. :P I figure it's just an extension of the "anything's possible with good writing" deal.

I don't figure it's IC for Lady Illusion's character to want an actual relationship where she has to shapeshift into something not herself all the time just to be with that person, but she's definitely a character with various pairing possibilities.

I don't even know what slashfic means! :P
