We've probably wanted to know where eachother's usernames come from. Plus, we need to talk about something to keep the board from going into cold storage.

My username is obvious - it comes from Rotgut, my favourite character in the show.

Lightning Flash comes from the Lightning Flash - or is there another reason for picking that name?

What about any others?

School computer room, at the end of my tether trying to think of something that no one else had (I hate using numbers). Thought up the weirdest thing I could imagine (I'd probably also had too much coke at lunch time). Came up with this, have had it since, and have never had the trouble of anyone else having it. Occasionally... doesn't fit into some things that want you to have a short username though. ><

Real first name (it's common, so I wasn't worried about sekrit identity issues) plus obscure fictional character's name. Lately I've realised it's kind of Whitey McWhiterson, though as far as I know the skin tone of the Frost in question was never mentioned in the books (she was apparently auburn-haired, though).

My username... Hm... you know actually I'm not sure if I remember where it came from. I know the first name Scarab is rather like my REAL first name, and Dynasty goes with Scarab - I wanted the name to suggest something quite big... a dynasty is a big thing, metaphorically speaking.

I do remember finding out that a scarab beetle was actually an egyptian type of dung beetle - and oddly enough, I didn't mind being named after that particualr type of bug. They used to say the scarab beetle pushed the sun god ra around the earth creating day and night. So I guess a scarab is just deceptively ordinary.

Mine is from a floating jetski type of thing from a kind of obscure kids' TV show . . . maybe you've heard of it? :P

Mine heralds from my neopets account, it was originally going to be Code of Honour, but that name was taken.

Long story short, my friend and i were writing a report on superstitious people and put our names at the bottom of the page as 'the superstitious gypsies' i loved it and whenever i sign up for something on the internet i use that name! ;)

Long story short is was a chracter's name I wrote up... and by the time I decided I might want to change it for obvious original chracter/ other reasons it had become known by the people who read my fanfiction (Dark Angel stuff as well) and on other sites and it would have caused to much hassle to chnange.

I still like it... though I would've changed it merely because the whole don't name yourself after a character rule- too late now... but I guess if you like it it doesn't matter what others think :D

Well it's the name I usually use in otehr boards. It comes from a story I'm still currently writing called "The Journey of Rider Jetfire." The main charecter of that the story becomes Kamen Rider Jetfire, so thats where the "Rider Jetfire" comes from :lol:

Um, mine always sounds like a Sonic the Hedgehog fancharacter XD my name is actually banned on a lot of Sonic message boards because of the general hatred towards Sonic fancharacters XD All '_______ the ________ ' names are banned.

Its actually just a nickname thats stuck with me since primary school; I'm really small with quite pronounced front teeth, so thats where the name came from. I love rats too, I used to have loads of pet rats, so I was pretty happy with the name :D

Crikey, they must be idiots to just ban a name like that.

Feronia Alecto Ardantane turned into Fe Ardantane because I couldn't be bothered to type the entire name every time! But a nice coincidence as my character on the RPG was Fear, and the first four letters of FeArdantane.. well. :lol:
