I hate your power
To twist his mind
And strip him of his truth
Leave him angry and alone
A shadow of his youth

I hate the way
You hurt the man
I used to know so well
Working to your own plan
You put us all through hell

I hate your need
To hold him down
Until he quits the fight
You want him when his valour’s flown
A broken, beaten Knight

I hate it how
Your eye glows red
When you’re about to make a strike
The moment when you think he’s dead
My friend, the Lightning Knight
