Title: Love Match
Description: I just love love

Kitty - July 25, 2006 11:03 AM (GMT)
Well, by now u should have noticed just how much I love love. In movies and tv shows, the action is great, so is the horror, comedy and drama, but nothing tops the love (Romance). Most would probably not agree with my love obsession, but oh well. I just  love.

So anyways, to relate this to AL. Today in Science i was very very bored. Double science, with a substitute, watching a stupid, boring video on space and the big bang. So, uv probably all heard of this little love match game. You plus together numbers to find out a couple's chance at a certain area. Now, of course, I know it doesn't actually show anything, but hey, it wastes time. So I did a few compatibilities from Ace Lightning and made up a table of 4 different male characters and lady Illusion.

Here are the results just incase ur interesting:

Ace Lightning Lord Fear Random Virus Mark Hollander Winner
Babies 46 % 44% 45% 65% Mark
Obsession 47.8 91.1 88 91.1 LF and Mark
Dates 65.4 96 84 85.5 LF
Couple 43 54 66 29 RV
Lusts 96 73.2 96.4 83.2 RV
Loves 85 83.3 84.3 93.3 Mark
Loyalty 63 33.3 49 73.4 Mark
Sex 21 21 20 21 AL and LF and M
Hook up 75.4 66 66 77 Mark
Marriage 65 68.8 85 99.7 Mark
Total % 60.76 62.77 68.37 71.81 Mark

So basically as you can see, according to these, Mark is by far the most compatible with Lady Illusion, with Random the second, Lord Fear third and Ace the least compatible. Boo hoo. But the Mark thing and LI is kinda wrong (Ewww.....)

Kinda childish but so what. Its pretty entertaining and funny. I think next time ill make a Sparx one, only with Ace, chuck, Fear and Random. maybe.

P.s. Yay! I had my awards ceremony today and in the top 20 of the year I came 4th. 4th out of around 220 students!!!!!!!!! Not bad eh, I didnt even think id make it into the top 20! So happy. :D

ShadowCat - July 25, 2006 11:04 AM (GMT)
This is funny! Can't wait to see the Sparx one.

Kitty - July 25, 2006 11:12 AM (GMT)
sorry, if that doesn't make alot of sense. When i wrote it it had spaces as though it was a table, but the spaces disappeared when i did it. So, the first results are Aces, the second Lord Fear, third Random Virus and fourth Mark. The fifth is the winner for that section.

thanx shadow cat

ShadowCat - July 25, 2006 11:20 AM (GMT)
You're welcome. :) And just a reminder: please try to edit your last post rather than double-post if you forget to write something.

Rotgut - July 25, 2006 11:21 AM (GMT)
Hey Kitty for a gag why don't you do one that involves Sparx/Lady Illusion as the item and the competitors are Lord Fear, Pigface, Rotgut and Googler. Just for a laugh. :P

ShadowCat - July 25, 2006 11:26 AM (GMT)
You know, I can see people getting ideas about pairings for fics from this! That could either be a good thing or a bad thing!

Kitty - July 25, 2006 11:58 AM (GMT)
Thanks. I think I will make a funny one like that! Ill work on it the next boring lesson.

*giggles profusely*

Now, on a serious issue, while sweet roimance and fluff and lasting relationships are all very well, lets cosndier the alternative. I mean, lets face it, no relationships in Ace go smoothly, do they? Lady Illusion and Ace turned a little tragic on us, mark can't hang onto a single girlfriend... in fact the only one with any luck has been Chuck and Felicity.

There's a lot more room for doubting and confusing styles of Love on Ace than there is for lovey doveyness, and love isn't all hearts and flowers in the real world. Ace is just getitng emotions remember? he's probably not taking it great, because his feeligns have never been in so much command before.

LightningFlash - July 25, 2006 10:13 PM (GMT)
Please tell me you mean Chuck and Jessica. :P

I guess that's why Mark's love life was piled on so thick. It's the closest to functional romance that any of the main characters could offer.

Scarab Dynasty - July 26, 2006 12:05 AM (GMT)
...I did? :P Oh, yeah. Sure I did.

Which is why it was dull :P

hyperpsychomaniac - July 26, 2006 03:28 AM (GMT)
*dies* That's supposed to be functional! I suppose in a relative sense... :P

Poor Mark. While it was piled on I did feel sorry for him. :)

Kitty - July 26, 2006 06:52 AM (GMT)
Believe me, i love the serious stuff true. Personally I prefer tragic love stories, like Phantom of The Opera, if u classify that as tragedy, or Romeo and Juliet, and realistic love stories. The gritty stuff, so by saying I love  I mean I love romance, not just the fluffy, chocolates and roses kind, if that makes sense.

I think AL needed at least one realistic romance, but then again, AL wasn't really based on realistic events. I suppose Chuck and Jessica could be considered realistic couple but I don't think even that was realistic. One solid relationship would have been good.

Rotgut - July 26, 2006 08:10 AM (GMT)
And look at Lord Fear, he had trouble with Lady Illusion. She might not be his first toy-girl?

Sarah Frost - July 26, 2006 08:54 AM (GMT)
If she was, that's at minimum 342 years of singledom for him...

...and he's an Evil Overlord, not a monk. :P

Kitty - July 26, 2006 09:05 AM (GMT)
Yeah but man, who in their right mind would date a skeleton!!!!! I really don't see what LI saw in him. LF isn't even that powerful!

ShadowCat - July 26, 2006 09:22 AM (GMT)
Maybe she liked his sense of humour! :)
Seriously, I don't know what she would have seen in him either. But we haven't seen much of villains in AL except Lord Fear and Kilobyte. Maybe he was more powerful in the sixth dimension than he seems?

Sarah Frost - July 26, 2006 09:25 AM (GMT)
According to RP Sparx, he's very good with his hands. :P

He was the most powerful villain in the Sixth Dimension; he has a lot of control over his minions, and presumably also over the Haunted House and most other areas in the Carnival. He's definitely not very good at physical battle, and canon did give him more than his fair share of incompetent moments, but he's not incapable of coming up with cunning plans. Maybe, from the power he holds as absolute ruler of the Carnival, it's been a very long time before he was challenged so. (And he's defined as the most powerful villain in the 6D; therefore it is not OOC to write him as intelligent and competent.) No doubt the mortal world affected him, but he manages to be a credible threat (including to LI), and it really isn't his fault that Rick invented Kilobyte to triumph.

For LI, it was most likely the power thing. Scarab theorises some sort of quote-unquote betrothal, or any one of the usual fantasy tropes like signing things in one's own blood or mage-bindings or whatever. Maybe she needed him for whatever reason, or maybe she preferred a relatively 'sterile' relationship with him to someone more like Kilobyte.

That sounds reasonable. Also, the mortal world is very different from the SD. It would have been hard for him to adjust and figure out how everything worked and how best to accomplish his goals. He probably did pretty well, considering.

hyperpsychomaniac - July 26, 2006 10:22 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it's probably understandable. Poor Fear. :P

I was quite impressed with his evil plot, end of season two. Too bad it got cut, because it looked like his competence was going somewhere. :(

Kitty - July 26, 2006 10:35 AM (GMT)
I suppose so. I do feel pretty bad for fear, especially after Kilobyte came.

ShadowCat - July 26, 2006 10:45 AM (GMT)
Yeah. He didn't have much of a chance to rule the world after that, unless he could get rid of Kilobyte somehow!

Not canon, sweetie, as much as we’d like it to be :P

And Fear was rather cunning in that last ep, with all the doubel crossing. If LI hadn't gotten in the way, I feelk sure he would've won the bgame at that point. Must write that AU...

Here’s a thought that might not speak too kindly of the shows writers (which is a shame, ‘cause I mostly get along with those guys… with the exception of whoever designed Kat)… but lets try it. The idea that Fear is a threat to LI came only after she had betrayed him. While he still considered her bound to him, he was far more lenient (example, in episode six: “You can’t leave me, we’re programmed to be together.”)

It seems then that only after betrayal does he become a threat – and how does he become a threat? Through hurting her.

Hm… rather worrying when you look on that in terms of domestic abuse, ne?
