Title: Going to be away for a few days
ShadowCat - July 12, 2006 12:03 AM (GMT)
I'm going to be away for a few days. I have to go into hospital to get my wisdom teeth out. I'm going to be away from tomorrow until Saturday.

Hospital? :S Can't the dentist do it? Well, good luck either way.

They have to do it in hospital because I'm having all four out or something. I don't know. I'm just glad I'm not going to be awake when they do it!

Hey, good luck with the operation. :)

Ick. I had my all my wisdom teeth out around two years ago.
I remember how much blood was in my mouth after, and I kept trying to spit it out, which made it worse. And after I ate for about a week I had to rinse my mouth with salt water. Another ick.
Good luck, and just some advice. After you wake up and are back in the hospital room, wait until the anasthetic wears off to eat.
Just a point, I hate all dentists. Which is why I take care of my teeth, cause I believe that all dentists are evil! :D :D

I got mine out the same time as Shadowcat's but they took longer with mine. She was ready to go at 3 but had to wait for me because my gums wouldn't stop bleeding and I kept vomiting up blood. I think the nurse was glad to see me go. She was supposed to finish at 5 but stayed because I was still sick.
I'm supposed to start rinsing out my mouth with salt water tonight. I'll happily put up with it because I really don't want them to get infected.

Oh, yes! The blood! It was gross! Haven't start rinsing with salt water yet, but I'm sure I won't like it!

You may think I'm stupid, but what are wisdom teeth?
When I was about 10-11 I had four of my teeth taken out, whether or not they were my wisdom teeth I have no idea. All of them were baby teeth, so now three of them have grown back but one still hasn't. Weird, eh?

The stitches are annoying! I want to brush my teeth, darn it! And the pain killers are making me really drowsy. :(

They wouldn't have been wisdom teeth because you don't get them until your late teens. Also, when they take out wisdom teeth I'm pretty sure they don't grow back because they take out the roots as well.
ShadowCat - July 16, 2006 12:26 AM (GMT)
They'd better not grow back!
LightningFlash - July 16, 2006 12:30 AM (GMT)
Ick, blood eew. *faints*
Hope you feel better soon. :)

They don't grow back. Rotgut, you get two sets of teeth, baby teeth and adult teeth. The adult teeth replace the baby teeth as you grow up. You only get one set of wisdom teeth and they don't grow back.

Yes I put up with it... didn't mean I liked it :D
