How would each character react if they discovered the truth about their world and themselves? How would Sparx, Random, Lady Illusion, Lord Fear, Kilobyte, Staff Head, Dirty Rat, Anvil, Pigface, Googler and Rotgut all react. Would they be similar or completely different?
Didn't Ace already find out or something? I don't know. I have to watch the episodes again!
I'm not sure how they'd all react. Personally I think they'd all react differently. I'm really not sure, though.
Hmm... interesting topic RG... I can definitely say that their reactions would be different. I'm not sure if some of the minions like Anvil or Pigface would get it. Googler might, he did get quite sad when he was lost. But I think he's crazy enough already that it wouldn't effect him overly much. I think I can Dirty Rat capitalizing on everybody elses angst. He might be a bit confused at first, but he's too resourceful to let something like an uncertain past get in his way, 'specially when everyone else has it too. Hmm... Random... he would certainly angst, but I think it's a little hard to tell exactly how this would manifest. He would either get all angsty and hide himself away even more (or kill himself, but I don't think they could go that far as suicide). His evil side could quite as easily take over even more (either cus his good side gives up, or his evil side is REALLY cranky :| ). I'm not really sure about Sparx... I think she'd be pretty unbelieving at first.
Hmm...
Sparx: Sparx has a tenuous grip on reality at best. She's childlike and young and would probably really flip with this knowledge in her head. She'd be the classic deconstruction of the five stages of acceptance. First she'd be confused, then she'd be shocked, then she'd be angry and would probably rush off to kill something because, as anna said in a fanfic dealing with just this scenario "it's better than the hell in my head". Eventually I think she would accept it, though. She comes across as the type of strong character who, although naive at this phase, has the ability to adapt to the situation. Either that or she'd get pissed, wodner why it matters anymore and go evil on us. She'd be the psycho evil type, too...
Random: Now HE could really go either way. he'd be angry, I expect that this being a game had left him stuck in such an awful situation - for reasons of mortal entertaiment. Because they thought it'd be a good plot point.
Fear: can we say "denial", please? Because he would certainly at least give the impression of not caring a jot. He's quite simply too proud to accept that he could possibly be such a failure, but after a while, he'd probably start to understand. He can't be as totally incompetent as he seems in the show, so he'd probably come to udnerstand why he's failing and change his tack.
Lady Illusion: Contrary to popular belief, I see her having a bit of a crisis concerning this. She seems strong, yes, and we've seen her nerve and conviction, but she'd really be questioning her relationship with Ace and Fear in this situation. The fact that she sacrificed herself for someone who wasn't real. Out of all the characters, she'd probably be the most likely to devlve into existincinal depths on the issue. She'd eventually have to make a desicion between what she wanted to do.
