Title: Favourite Doctor Who Villain?

Rotgut - November 9, 2005 05:41 PM (GMT)
Who is your favourite Doctor Who villains? The Daleks? The Cybermen? The Slitheen? I like all three of them, despite I've never seen the Cybermen, except a head.

What I have to pick just one?

Well the Slitheen have proven to be quite scary and rather interesting as villians go. Though I never really bought into the cybermen until I saw one's head in a display cabinet in the latest series... the reapers weren't bad. But I think my ultimate fear factor has to be the Daleks - yes I am off the behind-the-sofa generation :P... or the one after. They're the only villians where I've ever bought into the idea of "total evil without morals" and - I was proved wrong on that front, particularly with the episode "Dalek" - Dr. 9. But all the same Daleks have been terrifying people for decades. Not bad for a villian that was created in 24 hours based on th salt shaker on their designers table :P

Actually, it was designed on a pepper pot.

Scarab Dynasty - November 9, 2005 09:40 PM (GMT)
They look exactly the same :P what is the difference? (Except that the salt shaker usually has more holes in the top... why is that anyway? Just so you can tell them apart? They could label them to do that...)

LightningFlash - November 10, 2005 12:03 AM (GMT)
Nope, the pepper shaker has more holes. :P

I don't really know. The gas things in the Dickens ep?

Hmm... Daleks are of course pretty good... but I might just go with the Master from the older series. Unfortunately, seeing as all the other time lords are supposed to be dead now... I doubt we'll see him again. <_< His TARDIS's camaflague circuits actually worked! :P

Scarab Dynasty - November 10, 2005 08:29 PM (GMT)
Ah, the master ^_^ I forgot about him. Apparently there was going to be a series in which they revealed a very deep secret about the Master and the doctor, unfortunately the Actor playing the master died tragically before they filmed it, and it was cancelled.

hyperpsychomaniac - November 12, 2005 10:05 AM (GMT)
Aw, that's a bummer. :( But they've still got the reincarnation whatever it's called thing they do. :P

Scarab Dynasty - November 12, 2005 08:44 PM (GMT)
Regenration - and they can only do it 12 times. 12 times, thirteen lives and he's just gone to his tenth. He'll have to take care of the last ones :P

I guess when it gets to his last, he'll find another twelve in the closet, and off we go again.

On the subject on monsters and villains:

Daleks never scared me. Even when they got up stairs. They're my fave.

Cybermen were scary. I nearly turned the telly off because they were so scary. Later on , they were't so scary in colour.

The Reapers were cool, but they unfortunatly didn't get much screen time.

Anyone remember the one off Vervoids. Shades of Bananas In Pyjamas, they were!

Vervoid: Are you thinking what I'm thinking, V-1?
V-1: I think I am V-2!
Both: It's PEOPLE KILLING TIME!

They were in the amazingly long and overly-stretched twelve part Trial of a Time Lord story, with Dr. 6 and The Annoying Companions Ace and Melanie Who Are Annoying.
