Mardra sits at the large table looking across its expanse to the novice dragon rider, clearly disappointed, along with many other emotions chasing themselves across her face. "So instead of practising your powers, waiting for your dragon to be fully grown, you decide to take on five demons at once? What the hell were you thinking??" The usually calm Master regards the rider with an almost malicious stare.
To Landon: "Is the little one going to make it?"
She calls to her dragon, narrowing her eyes slightly. She looks at the dragon rider, waiting for an answer. "Well? What in the name of the gods were you thinking?" Her tone, this time, sounds a little concerned, as well. |
Kara stands, head bowed, before the Master, ashamed. At first, she thought for sure that Mardra was going to kick her out and find a new rider for Kethra. Tears well in her eyes. She hadn't planned for this to happen. She only wanted to prove that she was good enough to be a dragon rider. She wanted to show that snobb, Petra, that she was as good as she was, even if she didn't come from money like the blonde did. But these things could not be told properly. NOt to her master, who was infuriated with her.
"I-I'm sorry, Master, I-" She stammers, not sure what to say. "If you only knew the pressures on a -" She stops herself. Of course she knew. But she was older! Wiser! Chosen to be the leader! How could she understand a poor teenager's plight? "Please. Punnish me however you wish." She chokes out, head bowed, not daring to look her in the eye. "But please, please don't take Kethra from me!" She begs, now looking up, silent tears gliding down her cheaks. A sob emits, and she averts her eyes back to the floor again. (Please.)
