The Lovers light two black candles on the alter. The priestess must bless the wine with her blood, using the athame. The Lovers then do the same. The preistess begins y dipping her right thumb in the oil, saying, "In the beginning we were damned. And through damnation we found freedom {priestess makes an inverted pentical on the female's forehead with the oil}, power {priestess makes an inverted pentacle on the male's forehead with the oil} and purpose. {priestess places the right hand of the woman and the left hand of the man on the black sash laid out on the alter and pours the remainder of the oil over their hands.} As I unite you today {Priestess begins to wrap the hands in the black sash} I remind you of those gifts. And in your union, may these gifts increase so your powers may grow in the service of Evil. {Wrapping of hands is now complete. Female takes chalice drinks hlf, hands it to ale, male drinks remainder of contens and places the chalice on the altar.} So mote it be."
