- Born to Anastasia Brandt, Sahari never knew her father. He'd been killed soon after her conception by a witch in a freak accident. Because of this, Sahari believed that her father had abandoned them, gotten himself killed on purpose without putting up a fight. It was a reasonable accusation since her father had been quite powerful and the witch who'd killed him was not very strong. This was the beginning of Sahari's hatred towards men, though it would not become full blown for several more years. As Sahari grew, she developed a distaste for Lavena. Nothing too horrible, but enough for her to tense whenever the older woman was around. But, because of her mother's friendship with the woman, both of them tried very hard to get along. Over the years, Sahari had many mates, most of whom betrayed her in some fashion. She soon met Corinth's rider, Bryan Draste, who was quite enchanting. Literally. Bryan was an Enchanter, the male form of an Enchantress, and the only one of his breed. He was power happy, and would do anything to gain more. He placed an enchantment on Sahari which made her fall in love with him and they eventually married. His intent was to overthrow Lavena, but when Sahari was named Demonrider Master by Lavena, he changed his mind. He let her do all the dirty work and attempted to gain an army behind her back. But Sahari's followers were loyal to her and her alone. They informed Sahari of what was going on, but because of the Enchantment, she didn't believe them. Only with Bryan's death at the hands of her most trusted servants did she see what had happened. This is where her hatred for men stems from, and it smolders still.
