- Lavena was born to two witches who were killed by vampires when she was ten, at which point she was abducted by the Vampire Lord's minions and then Turned when she was twenty three years old. The spirit was beaten out of her and she became a slave to the Vampire Lord. For twenty five years she served the cruel Lord, fearing his hand and his torture. She'd seen what happened to slaves who disobeyed him and she didn't want that to happen to her. But when the Blood War broke out between vampires and witches, she met Corin. She feared even this young girl who held so much power, and even the Lord's heart, in her hands. But the two became friends fast and in time overthrew the Vampire Lord and freed themselves of his rule. Together they emerged to form the Vampire Witches, Corin giving Lavena her blood.
They met Anastasia, Camille and Jasmine soon after and the five of them became good friends. But Lavena, Corin and Anastasia saw and feared the power within Camille and Jasmine. They quickly set to work to get rid of them, fearing for their lives. But that blew up in their face, and the lines between Good and Evil were drawn.
Lavena's heart grew cold. She could never forget that it was vampires that had killed her family, and Corin had been able to save hers. She became jealous. Until she remembered the rule and power that their Lord once held. Then she became infuriated. She wouldn't let Corin have that power over her. Anastasia, who had come fro ma similar situation, agreed. With Corin preoccupied with being the leader of the new breed of vampires, it was easy to plot against her. But Corin was too powerful for her. Though Corin lost many of her vampires, she still defeated Lavena and Anastasia. Anastasia was killed, leaving her daughter, Sahari to take her place. Sadly, she and Lavena had never really gotten along, but they tried for Anastasia's sake.
After Corin stripped them of their wiccan powers, she became even more infuriated. She, along with her husband Dace, found a away to rid her new family of the vampiric curse. It nearly killed her, which gained her respect from everyone. She had also foudn a way to get back their powers, as well as a few new ones. With dragons starting to populate the world more, they needed to grasp some of them for their own. They decided to take the black ad blue dragons, giving them to warlocks and demons, while red and teal were given to good and neutral got white. They needed someone to take care of the dragons, so Lavena assigned Sahari and her husband to the task. They took it readily.
Lavena created a little haven of sorts and named it Kauket. It is magically protected, through her own powers.
