- As a centuries old vampire, Corin has a difficult time hiding her true nature from anyone. Not that she needs to, of course. Her skin is marble smooth and ivory white unless she has just fed or has been in the sun. The feeding makes her more human-looking while the sun tans her skin. But neither of these helps her breathing. No matter what, she will never appear to breath like a normal living human being does. Her breathing is drastically slowed in comparison to any other living being. Although you might not notice it right away, if you stared at her long enough you'd realize that for every twenty breaths you take, she's taken only one; and it's very shallow at that. Exertion only seems to appear after she's been fed from, which rarely happens. She only allows those closest to her to feed from her.
Corin likes to keep up with the times in terms of physical appearance that she can control; clothes, jewelry, piercings, hair. As a vampire, her hair no longer grows. She keeps it short, but dyes it various colours. She prefers gold over silver jewelry and can no longer have piercings due to her regeneration. Any piercings would heal within moments, causing pain every time a piece of pierced jewelry is removed. Although vampires feel less and less pain as they age, it's still not fun to bleed every time you remove a piece of jewelry.
Around her neck is a delicate gold chain. Hanging from it is a pentacle made of gold with a ruby in the centre. This was a gift from her grandmother when she was young, and still mortal. She keeps this token to remind her of what was, where she came from. Her right ring finger holds a matching ring which was given to her by her mother. Neither piece leaves her body.
- Anyone who has been through what Corin has been through would most likely become bitter towards many people. Cold, uncaring, keeping to themselves. Especially after living for centuries and seeing so many loved ones live and die and move on. But not this queen.
Even with everything Corin has seen, done and lived through in her lifetime, she remains the compassionate, loving, caring girl she was in life. She is fiercely protective of anyone she holds dear to her; especially her Childer. Corin only Turns those she believes are ready and willing and van handle a life as a vampire. So when she does, she keeps a close eye on them Even if they don't want it.
Coming from times when being a vegetarian was not an option, Corin was used to killing for her meal. So when she suddenly had to start feeding from humans to survive, in her mind it wasn’t a big stretch. Although she realizes that they are what she used to be, she knows that it’s what she [i]used to be and not what she now is. She has always been able to distinguish this basic difference, although imparting it on fellow vampires was not always easy.
From a young age, Corin was a leader. Even when she was locked away after being captured, her spirit never broke. She is as strong-willed as she is stubborn. She believes everyone has potential and will dig deep down to find it. [/i]
- Corin has always held a fascination with history. Being a major part of it, it serves her well. While she believes herself a different species, she still thinks of all humans as her family. After all, if she weren't at once point human, she wouldn't now be a vampire. As a witch, she fights for Good, though not all vampires are this way. But if she sees a situation which is not fair, she will side with the person who is right, no matter what side they are on. This is mostly due to her having been alive before the lines between Good and Evil were drawn.
On a more personal level, Corin likes most foods, all sensual spices (cinnamon, cloves etc), cooking, even though she doesn’t need food she still loves the flavors and textures they provide her. Although sex is always enjoyable, she prefers a blood to blood transfusion with another vampire. This is the highest form of pleasure for a vampire; and the more powerful and ancient the blood, the better the pleasure.
Corin would never admit she dislikes anything. She believes that this shows weakness. But the things she will admit to are weakness, gluttony, egotistical people, hypocrites and bugs that bite. Even though she can’t feel them, she remembers the irritations they once caused and her sympathetic nature allows her to feel pity for those who have issues with them.
- As a rather laid back person, there isn't much that bothers Corin. But that which does is something that should not be ignored by others. She can't stand anyone who doesn’t have a passion for life. Having it taken away from her in such a cruel manner really put this into perspective. The fact that she can no longer die, even through the traditional means of vampire slaying, really bothers her. It's not fair. Life should be lived as if it could end at any moment. And when you know there is very little that can kill you, if anything, it kind of puts a damper on that.
Other pet peeves are bullies. She hates them. Period. She has no place for them in her life and gladly feeds on them. They serve only to torture the innocent ones who are too shy to stand up for themselves. Her only other ‘Pet Peeve’ would be traitors. Namely, Lavena. She will never be able to understand why someone could turn their back on another.
- Even before she became a vampire, Corin loved the cold. The thought of cuddling up to a blazing fire with a good book and a glass of wine was the perfect evening for her. Now, as a vampire, it's even more exhilarating.
Potions are another passion. Before she was captured, she was studying to be an alchemist; an advanced potion maker. While it is still something she enjoys, she has come to accept that it is not her destiny. But she will pass it on to whomever will accept her tutelage.
This brings her to another passion; teaching. Since she was a little girl, she has loved teaching others. Anything. If someone needed to know something, and she had the information required, she would quickly volunteer. If someone needed instructions on something, she'd be the first to help.
It is perhaps because of these qualities that she has become such a devoted and beloved queen of her species.
- First and foremost, Corin lives to protect her clan. She would lay down her life if it meant saving them. While she knows that she is Immortal and may very well live for all eternity, there is a small, almost hope that there will be an end. And with this hope, she aims to pass down all the knowledge she has and will gain in her lifetime.
Teaching others is probably an equally important thing to Corin. Making sure all generations after her know everything they need to know to survive is something she believes to be key to life. Or afterlife. Whichever. If these goals are met, she will be happy.

Siblings - Athena Doreen Détroit - Athena was the firstborn of the Détroit family and believed to be the last hild that would be born to her mother. But this was clearly not the case. Athena held the power of premonitions and foresaw thatt her mother would have several more children, including two sets of twins.
- Chastice Elara Détroit - Chastice was born a year and two days after Corin. She and Corin became very close over the years, and very protective of the other younger siblings. She developed the power of Telepathy.
- Darwin Michaelo Détroit - Darwin was the first born male to the Détroit family and quickly took the heart of their eldest sister, Athena. She became like a second mother to him, and the subsequent brothers her mother had.
- Tashaena Alethea Détroit - {The fourth born of the family, Tashaena was fiercely guarded by the others. Her powers never fully manifested and everyone believed she held some bitterness about this. No one knows why her power of Clairvoyance ever really unfolded.}
- Carmen Aethen Détroit - Not much is known of Carmen. He held the power of illusions, but disappeared for a long period of time. To this day, he refuses to share his experiences with anyone.
- Markus Joshua Détroit - As the youngest of the family, Markus always felt a little left out. His older siblings tried to include him, but he was born several years after Carmen. But when he developed the rare power of healing, he became more popular. Whether or not he felt used was never known.
Other - SIAN MARTELL DARCEY(Lover) - Sian was not just another vampire Corin met after she was captured, but the only biological son of Lord Makrin, the Vampire Lord. They could not stop their hearts from loving each other as passionately as they did. Had Makrin not brutally killed him for the betrayal, the couple would still stand strong together.
- Corin was born to a wealthy family of very powerful witches. Corin had her wiccan powers even from the womb and aided her mother greatly with them. When she was born, it was very obvious that this girl would grow up to be a powerful leader, though they never anticipated just what kind of leader she would be. Ten years after her birth, war broke out between the Vampires and the Witches. The witches were tired of being preyed upon and wanted to destroy them all, and the vampires retaliated with the usual remarks that they had no choice, humans feed on animals etc. The mortals came back with humans and vampires being the same, even though it was quite clear that they were not. And thus the Blood War began, each accusing the other of petty things that could have been settled easily. Six years after the war began, Corin was stolen from their home by the Vampire Lord and held as a hostage. The girl was fed upon quite frequently for several years afterwards. When Corin's parents came knocking, ready to free her, he took her in his arms and killed her in front of them. Four vampires held her parents back as they watched in horror as their daughter became one of them.
At the behest of Corin, however, the Vampire Lord did not kill her family, but hid them from the world. She convinced him that he couldn't do hem any more damage and promised destruction to him if he hurt her family. Which he knew she could very well do. During the process of turning, while the she sucked the blood from his wrist, he saw just how powerful this little witch was and respected her power. But little did he know that she was already beginning to plot against him. It was quite easy for her. While she was being fed upon as a child by the vampires, she'd gained a few allies. One of these allies included Lavena, another powerful witch who had been turned by the Lord. Now, twenty years later, Corin was able to put her plan into actions. With Lavena by her side, along with more than half of the Vampire Lord's Childer, she overcame the Lord, killing him and any other vampire who still sided with him.
She then freed her parents and the rest of her family from what was more of captivity than hiding, and showed them what she was and what she had done. Her parents, now well into their sixties, begged her to change them. She showed her entire family what life as a vampire really was like. Some refused the blood, dying of old age, other embraced it. This included her parents, her three sisters, seven brothers, and a few cousins. Sadly, the vampiric blood was too much for her mother. She went mad with the infusion and brought an end to her life one bright morning. Her father gave her his blessing and left for other parts of the world, taking with him her sisters and 5 of her brothers, starting a new family of Vampire-Witches. Her three cousins and one brother remained in Sekhmet to start their own family. During this time, she met Anastasia Brandt and Camille Bronte. The five of them became friends quickly. But their friendship would soon end.
Corin, Lavena and Anastasia, Sahari's mother, began to grow wary of Camille and Jasmine. They fear their power, as well as their children's. They were afraid that they would overthrow the three of them somehow, or ignore them completely. So they decided to overthrow them first. Thus the Magic War began, drawing the lines between Good and Evil.
After the war, Lavena's eyes turned on Corin, who had become even more powerful after the Magic War. She got Sahari on her side and attempted to overthrow Corin, gaining several allies. Corin, who had gotten caught up in her clan since the War, didn't see it coming. She lost many of her people, including her cousins and brother. Corin then stripped Lavena and her minions of their wiccan powers, forcing them to live an eternity with only the lust and need for blood to survive
