Title: Entrance
Construction - April 20, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
OPEN
Matthew - May 19, 2007 09:32 PM (GMT)
Finding the door unlocked, Matthew enters into the club. It was empty, well from what he can see it is. His dark blue orbs scan the club, bouncing over every nook and cranny for any sign of Mel. (Well he did say he might be in his office) Matt recalls, heading in just that direction.
Matthew - June 1, 2007 05:26 PM (GMT)
Reaching the door, Matt’s eyes look out at the snowy street which is waiting for him on the other side of the door. “Ugh…” He mutters under his breath, not wanting to walk the entire journey back to the mall himself. (I should really get a car…or a teleporting power. A teleporting power would be sooooo my thing…) Matt muses wishfully, ready to brave the cold and exit the room. Suddenly though, a thought hits him. (I could always use a spell…its not like I overuse my magic. If anything I don’t use it enough!)
“Errr…” The Earth Element mumbles, thinking over a few rhyming words to whip a spell up out of. (It won’t backfire…hopefully) Matthew takes a deep breath, taking a moment to go over the spell in his head. (Nope, sounds good to me) He assures himself before chanting off a spell to teleport him to Jonathon at the Mall.
“Hear this plea, hear my call
Teleport me to the mall
Take me to Jonathon, my Elemental lover,
Teleport me to him now as I seek no other…”
Higher Power - June 5, 2007 04:16 PM (GMT)
Personal gain, Matthew? Tsk, tsk tsk. Either way, you're not powerful enough yet to perform a spell like that on your own. So mothing happens.
Mel Pearce - June 5, 2007 04:20 PM (GMT)
As Mel grabbed his coat from behind the bar, he overhears Matt's attempt at a spell. He shakes his head as he puts on his coat and moves closer to him "That's not gonna work, Matt. How about a lift? I was on my way home until tonight. I can just swing around up Osiris to Pentagram. No biggie." He offers the elemental. The boy clearly didn't want to be out in the cold, and apparently didn't have a car. I should stop at Twin Magic, too. Pick up some candels for the Solstice ceremony. I'm out.
Matthew - June 9, 2007 02:35 PM (GMT)
Matt waits patiently for a minute or two, expecting sparkly lights or something to reveal a spell at work. When nothing happens however, a sign that his spell was an obvious failure, the Elemental witch just lets out a frustrated sigh. (Ugh! Magic never works when you want it to!)
Upon hearing Mel enter the foyer just behind him; Matthew turns, quickly forcing a toothy smile onto his face. (Smile and look happy…not ‘I’m on drugs happy’ but ‘I’m grateful for the job happy’) “Yeah, that would be great thanks. I kinda just left my boyfriend hanging…” The elemental replies, happy that he’d manage to escape the snowy coldness of the town.
Mel Pearce - June 11, 2007 07:28 PM (GMT)
Mel grins widely, laughing. "That's never a good thing. Don't worry, I'm sure he'll be happy about the good news and forgive you." He tells his newest employee before opening the door, holding it there for him beforel eading him to his car in the parking lot.
Matthew - June 13, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
“He better…” Matt mutters under his breath lightly as Mel exits through the door to the club. (Well I’ll be back for eight…I’ll remember that. Oh does this mean I’ll get discount drinks?) The Elemental muses, all ready thinking about the benefits working here might bring as he follows his new boss into the parking lot.
Mel Pearce - February 8, 2008 06:13 PM (GMT)
Mel moves to the entrance and takes out his keys. He unlocks the door and opens it, he steps inside letting the door close behind him. He flips on the lights and looks around the place. Ah, pride and joy. He thinks with a smile and moves forward through the hallway of the entrace and moves to his office.
Employee - June 24, 2008 06:41 PM (GMT)
A rather large dark-skinned man approaches the front door from within with a pass key and set of keys. He unlocks the door and flicks the switch to turn on the florescent Open sign. Checking to make sure everything is in its place, the man takes his position near the door, ready to check IDs and keep roughians out of the club.
Li Xing Feng - June 27, 2008 10:30 AM (GMT)
Having been in Sekhmet for less then two hours, Xing Feng is already liking the atmosphere of the town. It was quiet, yet busy in a way. What to do in your first night in town? Go to the latest bar of course! Having found a particular club that seems to have a good reputation around, he decided earlier in the evening to come to Club Bast. It wasn't too far away from where he is staying for the night, and even though he got lost twice trying to find it the conventional way, it was well worth it in the end.
The first impression of the club isn't at all what Xing Feng had in mind. I guess the clubs here are a bit different. Letting the Chinese thought go with a shrug, he approaches the entrance, flipping out his wallet and sliding his Hong Kong driver license out smoothly, he approaches the dark-skinned man standing ready at the door. He normally didn't really need to identify his age when he goes to bars and clubs in Hong Kong, but a lot of people have commented on how he doesn't look his actual age. So deciding better to be on the safer side, and not wanting to be mistaken for being under aged. He hopes that the man can read his birth date on the Chinese driver license. Maybe it might not be excepted if it isn't official in this country...

The bouncer offers a professional smile to the oriental man. It was difficult these days to tell them apart, so he doesn't define him as Chinese, Japanese, or anything of the sort. Oriently worked just fine. He reaches for the drivers licence and frowns when he sees the CHinese characters. Fortunately, he had training in at least certain aspects of the Chinese characters and was able to translate the month and year. Official or not (which, in fact, it was in Canada. At least for this part, anyway), Xing Feng was plenty old enough the drinking age being nineteen.
"Welcome to Canada, Mr. Li." The man says in Mandarin, the language traditionally spoken in Hong Kong. Okay, so he knew a little more than just the months of the year and numbers. But that was his own little secret. "Enjoy your evening," He continues in the man's native tongue as he unhooks the thick rope to allow him passage into the club.
Li Xing Feng - July 1, 2008 03:13 PM (GMT)
Xing Feng watches as the bouncer reads off his driver's license, and is presently surprised when he speaks a little Mandarin. Having grown up in Hong Kong, the majority of the language around Hong Kong was Cantonese. After the hand over to China, the use of Mandarin have become more frequent around the streets of Hong Kong, even though the large majority of the Hong Kong population still uses Cantonese as their preferred language. Being in Canada, is not something Xing Feng is accustomed to. The climate is just so cold! Even though Hong Kong had its share of cold winters, the winter in Canada was unbelievably freezing. But he was well prepared before hand, and had worn an extra overcoat to keep the oppressing chill at bay. The long black coat fits his stature well and it does the job well. Very practical.
"Xie xie ni." Taking his driver's license back from the bouncer and slipping it back into his wallet, he proceeds to walk past the thick rope. Hmm... Being in a foreign country and English the predominant language, he might as well use more English and improve on it. "Thank you very much." He gives the man a slight nod before adding, "You speak good Chinese, very well." He gives the man a bright grin before walking away towards the bar.
